Today is International Day of the Disappeared Day
Men, women and children were taken from their homes, many tortured and murdered, never to be seen again.
We should, of course, remember them every day as their grieving families do.
They have been 'disappeared', intentionally taken away and never returned. No official record of their fate available to their loved ones, they have just disappeared from the face of the earth.
I cannot imagine the agony of the families still waiting. My heart goes out to them.
